I love the Barefoot. They have awesome fish, chicken and livers.We go 2-3 times a month.

The place needs tons of updates, but the catfish fritters and cheap draft beer made it feel like home. Very nice staff and people in general. I will be back for the red sauce!

Frog legs and Fish were definitely on point and great deals on alcohol. Very family friendly restaurant with a little bit of every thing!

Place is permanently closed since the flood this spring and summer.

Love there fresh catfish

The best catfish I have ever had! I am 52 years old and have been going there since I was 5 years old. The cool thing is that it has not changed to much over the years. It's fun to walk into a place and be reminded of so many great memories. Always clean and fantastic service. The bathrooms have never been nice. That would be the one thing that I would fix.

Fish is so delicious and there French dressing so tasteful on their salad. Good place to eat.

I go there about once a month or so. Been going there for at least 10 years. Great place, great food, great staff, and always consistent. Never wait long if at all.

My sister visited Barefoot to watch the eagles dip down in the water. And the food is good too. Love the catfish fritters. We had a good time.

Well, shame on me for getting tricked into going to Hardin Illinois. I once heard that dogs kinda know when they're about to die and they will seek a secluded place with nobody around and slip away peacefully and quietly. What does this have to with Hardin you ask? Funny you should ask. Hardin is the sort of place where people just go and die without anybody noticing. Their big attraction is this rancid smelling roadkill bazaar that serves up whatever the river happens to wash up onto their parking lot. As for the decor, it is best described as unappealing. Even that, I feel is far to generous for that leaves the impression that it just didn't suit my tastes. While that is true, I'd be hard pressed to find anybody that finds this 1970's era mashup of nursing home and trailer park, charming or pleasant.

I love going to the Barefoot Club are the catfish fritters it is such an awesome drive up especially on a beautiful day everything was delicious the only complaint I have is I think they could give a place a good scrubbing but that won't stop me from going

On the Illinois River scenic view watching the boats going up and down the river while you enjoy your fish dinner the best fish in the entire state of Illinois without a doubt

Have been driving from St. Louis for over 50 years to eat there with my family. The Barefoot ROCKS!

I used to like this place....went there today and must say they definitely need to do a lot of work not only to the property but with the staff as well. The carpet is so bad I could feel my shoes sticking to it, the window sills were full of bugs...dead and alive, and the staff didn't even acknowledge we were even there. We sat at a table for quite some time, the server stood next to our table many times but never said a single word to us....just looked at us and she spoke to the other table. I believe they were being well taken care of. We finally got up and walked out... that same server just looked at us as we walked away. I understand why there were so few guests for a Saturday afternoon.... once upon a time a Saturday afternoon was very busy....I'm sorry to see this place in such bad shape.
